My name is Michelle and I offer a safe space for you to feel heard and listened to. I am a qualified Integrative Counsellor based in Taunton, Somerset. This means I have studied many different theories of therapy and counselling and can blend the rig鈥�

Before I qualified as a  counsellor I taught art in schools and colleges. Since qualifying as a counsellor in 2005 I have had the privilege of counselling older children, adolescents, students and young adults. For a number of years I worked as a sch鈥�

I am a qualified Psychodynamic Counsellor and Integrative Clinical Supervisor, with more than 15 years鈥� experience in working with children, young people and adults.  While this work has taken place mostly in school settings, for the past 3 years I h鈥�

 Thank you for taking the time to read my profile. I am the owner of Lifeworks Counselling. My practice is based on the work of Carl Rogers, a pioneer in Humanistic Psychotherapy. I also provide EMDR and couples therapy. Rogers believed that we each鈥�

There are many reasons for seeking psychotherapy. It can be helpful if you want to explore a specific problem or concern, for example, stress, work issues, relationship problems, bereavement, sudden trauma, identity and sexuality issues. Or perhaps y鈥�

We often feel like we have to face things alone and that if we can't we have somehow failed, but that's not a fair judgement to make of ourselves. We are not evolved to be alone, in fact, the opposite is true and by sharing life's challenges, we can 鈥�
