What's included
The concept of spirit has become increasingly recognised as an important part of working with clients. However, whilst the notion that constructive psychological change and awakening can emerge out of therapeutic work, is gaining prominence, there's still at times, a hesitance to think of counselling and psychotherapy as spiritual.鈥疪ecognising spirituality as a dimension of equity, diversity, inclusion and belonging invites us to honour the diverse spiritual beliefs, systems and frameworks that both therapists and clients bring to the therapeutic encounter.听 听
This conference will support practitioners to critically explore the concept of spirit and its relationship with counselling and psychotherapy. The content will consider how spirit might provide strength to support clients emerging out of difficult experiences and/or, aid in the existential wrestle of the uncertainty and perhaps lack of meaning in everyday life.听
