Exploring the experience of therapists who went to all-girls boarding school
Hello, I’m Sophie, a student in Integrative Psychotherapy and Counselling, and I am looking for participants for my MA research project. This research will explore the lived experience of psychotherapists and counsellors who went to all-girls boarding school, particularly in terms of how their work today may be influenced as a result.
Are you:
• Are you a psychotherapist or counsellor who went to a traditional all-girls boarding school in the UK as a child?
• Did you board for at least two years when under the age of 18?
• Have you accrued at least 200 clinical hours working as a psychotherapist or counsellor?
If yes to all of the above, I would love to hear from you. Please email me if you would like to participate or would like further details.
Please note I’m interested in the experience of those who went to a traditional all-girls boarding school, meaning it did NOT have a specialist focus, such as being a therapeutic or military boarding school.
Key information:
• Participation will involve being interviewed for 45-90 minutes
• Debrief session a couple of days after the interview offered
• All data generated in the study will be fully anonymised
• This study has been approved by The Minster Centre’s Ethics Committee and adheres to Íø±¬ÃÅ Ethical Guidelines for Research
Thank you for your time.
